Luke Jager, GOLD medalist in the 2020 Junior Worlds, shares with us this article on “the transformation of our nation from an underdog to a powerhouse.” Wise words from a thought provoking and speedy guy.
In Defense of Small Victories
The insightful truths keep coming! This is a great read from Hailey Swirbul about small victories. Not only something to keep in mind with current events, but inspiring for future seasons for all levels of athletes.
30km with the Best in the World
What's it like to race internationally for the first time? We love this piece by Zane Fields about his first experience racing in Europe. Every race abroad is another notch in your belt, and we're proud of every skier who represents the U.S. of A.!!
The Opportunity to Compete
NNF gives athletes the opportunity to compete. This article by Sarah Goble illustrates how important it is for athletes to gain international racing exposure. Skiing with the best in the world early on helps increase the caliber of U.S. skiers. And boy have they shown just how competitive we’ve become!
"I am grateful to NNF for making this experience possible and for giving skiers all across the United States the opportunity to compete. Your support helps make these trips possible for many athletes and, again, I am sincerely thankful for the opportunity." -Sarah Goble
A season to be thankful for
There is still so much to be thankful for this year in U.S. cross-country skiing. On the week that would have been Super Tour Finals, we are still thankful for a nearly full season of races and events. We are thankful for the coaches who push our young skiers into becoming national and international champions. We are thankful for incredible organizers and volunteers who spend untold hours making sure that races go off flawlessly. We are thankful for successful athletes who inspire the next generations with their enthusiasm and spirit. We are thankful for fans and supporters who believe that lifelong sport and the pursuit of excellence is a worthy cause. We go so much further with supportive family and teammates. And of course, maybe most of all, we’re thankful for parents ❤️❤️❤️
Explore the outdoors!
Fortunately for us all, skiing is the very best at natural social distancing. Here’s to a wonderful spring of getting outside!

And a huge thank you and bravo to all the local ski clubs, parks and trail organizations for the incredible work they do to keep urban and rural folk out and active!! 👏
