| | FALCONS COME OUT ON TOP IN THE SDL SWIM MEET! |
Finished Place : VCS (79), Highlands (42), Lindhurst (12), CCAA (9)
Lukas Donaldson made another HS Sections cut in the 100 Back
The girls won against Lindhurst. They only lost to Highlands by 20 points, so pretty close.
We are so proud of Maxum and Lily for being tough this past meet. They both rolled their ankle this past week, but still chose to do what they could at the meet. I really appreciate their their willingness to push throughout and be there for their team.

Vacaville Christian Beats Vanden for Their Fifth Straight Win
VCS (3) VS Vanden (1)
After losing to Vanden the last time they met, Vacaville Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Vacaville Christian came out on top against Vanden by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
If you add up the scores from across all four sets (95-93) Vacaville Christian actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 29-27, 25-23, 25-20. Joseph Tran paced the offense, picking up 13 kills. Tran got some help from Martin Elliott and his 21 assists. Adam Foreman controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces. Vacaville Christian is ranked 256th in the state in all divisions.
VCS (3) VS Mesa Verde(0)
Vacaville Christian waltzed into their contest on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Mesa Verde Mavericks with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-20, 25-14.
Falcons
Vacaville Christian's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Elena Vizcay collected three hits in four at bats, as Vacaville Christian Varsity Falcons defeated Mesa Verde Varsity Mavericks 19-9 on Thursday. Vizcay singled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fifth inning.
Vacaville Christian Varsity Falcons flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring 11 runs on five hits to take the lead, 11-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Lexi Martinez that drove in three runs. One run in the third after Danielle Ruff grounded into a fielder's choice. Martinez earned the win for VCS. Boys Soccer
VCS (1) VS Kairos ( 2)
While we were playing down a player for the early part of the tournament match, Kairos scored 2 quick goals. After that, the Lads held Kairos scoreless while Rome scored a last minute goal for the final score. Despite playing hurt, Tre was relentless on offense, almost scoring a few times. The defense became solid as led by Jackie, Rylan, Cyrus, and Brady and Will Krier making 6 saves in his first partial action in goal.
VCS (0) VS Golden West (3)
In a game marked with positive sportsmanship and mutual respect, the Lads worked hard throughout the match which was only 0 -2 ( one goal was a PK...) for most of the game. Will Krier added 10 saves.
VCS (2) VS Sierra Vista (2)
On a day where there were no refs and Sierra Vista asked to play 8 v 8 due to their reduced squad, our team played one of their best offensive halves of the season, with several excellent scoring opportunities. Yet, it was 0 - 2 at half. Then... the Lads responded even moreso, offensively scoring 2 goals to tie the game. Tre scored with an assist from his brother Aiden. And Rome scored with an assist from Travis Kuntz. Aided by solid midfield support and solid play by Cyrus, Rylan, Jackie, and keeper Daniel, we held SV scoreless in the 2nd half. We are thankful to Coach Nason for reffing the game, and Coach Rico, and HS Varsity player, Jay, for working the sidelines, making the opportunity to compete possible.
| Our girls soccer season wrapped up this week with 3 games! It was a season all about development - improving soccer skills, building confidence, and learning to work together on and off the field. Every game brought new challenges and opportunities to grow, and the hard work and determination of our players never wavered! Looking forward to next season! | |
