AYTEF SELECTED: USTA FOUNDATION COMMUNITY IMPACT HUB

The Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation (AYTEF) and L.E.A.D. Center for Youth have been selected to represent Atlanta as one of the nation’s first USTA Foundation Community Impact Hubs!

Part of a groundbreaking commitment by the USTA, this initiative leverages the power of tennis to create equitable access and impact for young people and families who need it most right where they live.

AYTEF on the National Stage

AYTEF’s impact will be celebrated on one of tennis’s biggest stages: the 2025 US Open. Throughout the tournament, all 10 Community Impact Hubs — including AYTEF — will be featured across national media, social platforms, and even recognized inside the stadium. This moment highlights Atlanta as a leader in showing how tennis can transform lives and communities.

What This Means For Tennis In Metro Atlanta

As part of this initiative, AYTEF will join a national network of Hubs dedicated to reaching tens of thousands of youth and families by 2027. Backed by a $6 million investment from the USTA and USTA Foundation, this effort represents a major commitment to Atlanta’s young people—helping AYTEF accelerate its impact in the following areas:

  • Re-imagining Tennis in Schools and Meeting Students Where They Are - Before, During, and After

  • Engaging Families by Blending Tennis and Support Services to Build Healthy Connections

  • Optimizing Infrastructure Through Expanding Access and Reviving Facilities in Underserved Communities

  • Growing a Generation of New Coaches to Deepen the Impact of Mentorship

Carrying Forward a Legacy

This designation is a tremendous opportunity for AYTEF and the communities we serve. Building on Arthur Ashe’s legacy within the NJTL network, it strengthens our mission to expand opportunity, increase access, and empower Atlanta’s young people to thrive. The USTA’s new Community Impact Hubs and Frances Tiafoe’s inspiring journey remind us how tennis and education can change lives.

Thank You for Powering the Path Forward

AYTEF is grateful to the USTA and USTA Foundation for their bold vision and commitment in making this initiative a reality. While there is still much work ahead to expand access and opportunity within the sport, this investment sends a powerful message: tennis and education can transform lives and communities.

This partnership affirms the importance of creating pathways for underserved youth right here in Atlanta—one of the nation’s most dynamic tennis communities. More details, highlights, and next steps will follow after the US Open. Stay tuned!
