Atlantic Union Conference Executive Committee Votes Title Change for Dr. David McKenzie

The Atlantic Union Conference Executive Committee (EXCOM) met on February 11, 2025, for its first-quarter meeting. Among the many reports and presentations, the EXCOM voted to change David McKenzie's title to vice president for Youth and Young Adult Ministries. McKenzie will also continue his duties as assistant to the president for Mission and Evangelism at Home, an assignment he has faithfully served since October 2023.

EXCOM first elected McKenzie as Youth and Young Adult Ministries director in 2018. In 2022, delegates at the 31st Atlantic Union Conference constituency session voted for him to continue in that role.

"It is our prayer that God will continue to guide Dr. McKenzie in his ministry and use him mightily to impact the lives of many across our territory and beyond," says Abraham J. Jules, Atlantic Union Conference president.

SLA Students Collect Non-Perishables for Local Food Bank

To celebrate their 100th day of school, students in Heidi Larsen's fourth-grade class at South Lancaster Academy participated in a food drive. Larsen learned from third-grade teacher Kristie Creitz that the Lancaster Food Bank was taking donations before opening on March 1. The endeavor gained momentum throughout the school, and students from preschool to grade 6 joined the fun. The goal for each classroom was to collect 100 food items to commemorate the special day.

"This was a wonderful way to practice kindness," says Larsen. "They were surprised and grateful for our help."

Tony Cuffori Shares Inspiring Evangelism Stories in Barre, VT

Watch the latest episode of Connect LIVE as Tony Cuffori, Northern New England Conference (NNEC) evangelism director, shares exciting stories from a recent evangelistic series he presented in Barre, Vermont. "There is a hunger for evangelism," Cuffori told Brad Cauley, NNEC executive secretary, who hosted. The Barre community had not had an evangelistic series in several years. Many people attended the series and invited others, as well.

"God has given us this message," said Cuffori. "There are people open to it. Our responsibility is just to preach the love of Jesus Christ, make sure He's the centerpiece of every doctrine, and God will do the work that we can't do apart from Him."

Cuffori and Cauley also discussed how members can do their part to participate in Pentecost 2025. "There's always a part to play," Cuffori explained. "Don't think it's just the speaker, the elders, or the deacons. Everyone has a vital role because we're all in this together."
