Since January 24, the Atlantic Union Conference Hispanic Ministries has hosted a revival based on the book Fiel y Prudente: Jornada de Reavivamiento Espiritual. The book addresses faithfulness in finances, our families, and our workplace and was written by Pastor Manuel Rosario of the Greater New York Conference. Each day, conference Hispanic Ministries directors and coordinators took turns hosting Fiel y Prudente, including guest hosts Elias Zabala, Sr., Atlantic Union Conference treasurer, and Elvis Diaz, Pacific Press director for sales and marketing. Rosario and Henry Beras, Atlantic Union Conference Hispanic Ministries vice president, will conclude the series on February 3, reviewing a journey of revival and testimonies about God's greatness. The program is impacting people from all over, including some outside the Atlantic Union territory. Special thanks to David Hunte, Atlantic Union Conference Information Technologies director, for his help with livestreaming the series on the union's Facebook and YouTube platforms.

Prayer Brunch Becomes Multi-lingual Worship Experience

When seeking God’s guidance for making your church relevant in the community, be prepared to embrace His leading, even if it entails last-minute adjustments.

Fitchburg church pastor Jonathan Nino experienced this firsthand during a scheduled prayer brunch at his church in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, on January 21, where he and the church family had initially planned to discuss church matters. However, the Holy Spirit led Myra Omeler, who attends the Fitchburg church, in a different direction. Omeler serves as the Atlantic Union Conference Ministerial Spouses Association director and is the wife of Pierre Omeler, Atlantic Union Conference president. She had been fervently praying with members of the Fitchburg prayer line for opportunities to help people in need—particularly the homeless and migrant communities.

With seed money from the North American Division Hope and Compassion Evangelism Grant, along with donations from the community, church members pulled their resources and turned the brunch into a multi-lingual worship experience in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. The church members and migrants prayed together for God’s intervention in their lives and blessings on the expectant moms. Following the service, blankets, diapers, and baby supplies were made available to the families.
