SLA Students Excel in Sports and Science

South Lancaster Academy (SLA) students recently returned to Lancaster, Massachusetts, with trophies and awards from various competitions. The boys' and girls' varsity basketball teamsthe Crusadersparticipated in the 2024 Hoops Classic Basketball Tournament in Keene, Texas, January 24-27. The Lady Crusaders won first place in the small school division. The boys' varsity team brought home third place. A few weeks later, the CPUsaders and AI Artisans robotics teams participated in the Adventist Robotics Mid-Atlantic First Lego League Tournament in Pine Forge, Pennsylvania, on February 18. First-place awards were given to SLA students in Core Values (fifth graders), Innovation (sixth and seventh graders), and Robot Challenge (seventh and eighth graders). The champions have an invitation to compete in the nationals taking place this spring in Apopka, Florida.

NNEC Members Participate at "Stand with Ukraine" Event

On February 25, Dustin Johnson, Northern New England Conference (NNEC) communication director, was one of several Adventists who participated at a "Stand with Ukraine" event in Lewiston, Maine. The Freeport Community Band, under the direction of Brendan Krueger, Pine Tree Academy principal, and the Topsham Strings, a group of musicians from the Topsham church, performed at the event. "It was so beautiful and educational," Johnson said.

USA and GLAA Week of Prayer: From Darkness to Light

Union Springs Academy (USA) welcomed 45 guests from the Great Lakes Adventist Academy (GLAA) for their recent week of prayer. Under the theme “Out of the Darkness, Into the Light,” USA students and the GLAA Aerokhanas Gymnastics team collaborated with guidance from Lisa Crittenden, USA chaplain, to present a memorable week of spiritual emphasis. Reynolds Rodriguez, New York Conference Youth Ministries and communication director, and Matthew Price, Aerokhanas coach, delivered daily inspirational messages. Aerokhanas members held gymnastics clinics, completed service projects, assisted with leading out in music, and gave testimonies. Praise the Lord, many students recommitted their lives to Jesus Christ or requested baptism.
