As we begin to start our mowing season, the weather has not cooperated. Last week’s freezing weather kept us from mowing much and this week’s atmospheric river has us delayed once again. Frozen turf is damaged by mower wheels and saturated soil is soft and easily damaged by mowing equipment as well. We are trying to work around the rain and take advantage of any dry stretches but they have been few and far between. In addition, we are downsizing our mowing equipment to reduce the rutting that occurs. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes and will keep you informed as the remainder of the month unfolds.
In addition, following our record dry January and February, the long term forecast is for a cool and wet spring. I think mother nature has it backwards. Good for the water supply, bad for mowing and landscape work.
