ATMOSPHERIC RIVER HEADED FOR SEATTLE

The transition to Pacific Northwest late fall weather is always a bit of a shock after our typically glorious summer and early fall. Just a week ago, we enjoyed mostly dry, pleasant days with temperatures in the upper 70s. This week, however, brings a stark contrast as the “Rainy Season” finally arrives. It’s tough for most Washingtonians, but it’s even more challenging for us landscapers. Our priorities shift, and working in the rain requires a new approach moving forward.

Mowing Will Be Complicated By The Rain

With the wet weather, we also face challenging mowing conditions. Although we’re heading into winter, the warm temperatures will keep the grass growing into November, requiring some mowing. The heavy rain saturates the soil, making mowing difficult—and at times impossible. We are closely monitoring the weather and will mow when conditions allow. Our schedule will be varied to accommodate this, and we may occasionally send our crews home on wet days to work later in the week or over the weekend as the weather permits. We apologize for any schedule changes, but we want to avoid damaging your landscape with our activities.

Enjoy The Fall Colors Starting To Come On

With the sunny weather we've had this past week and many trees beginning to change color, our landscapes have been filled with beautiful sights as red and yellow hues emerge. We always enjoy this time, but we know it signals change—and significant work for us in November as we prepare to pick up all the leaves that will soon fall. Let’s all enjoy this vibrant season while we can!

Leaf Removal Is Starting

As mentioned, we will be focusing on leaf removal as we move further into fall. We are well-equipped for this task with our truck-mounted vacuums, and we anticipate picking up thousands of yards of leaves over the next two months.
