Information
Dear DACC Students and Families -

Just like you, we are enjoying the warmer weather and looking ahead toward the end of the school year. However, I want to assure you that we are also looking ahead to the fall and all of the great opportunities that are in store for you and your child. It is our goal to spend the next few months making sure you have everything you need to begin this new adventure. Please read below for upcoming events and important information.

Sincerely,

Virtual Information Sessions
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Counselor Information Session. If you were not able to make it, had to leave early, or would like to share it with a family member, you can view the recorded session below.

If you attended or watched it afterward, please give us your feedback here so we can make these sessions as beneficial for you as possible.
Acceptance Celebration - Save the Date
Many of you have not yet had the chance to visit DACC or meet your new instructor in person. We want to make sure you feel comfortable walking into your school on the first day in the fall, so we would like to invite you to our campus to meet some of your classmates, get to know your teacher, and see your lab.

We have set aside three nights in order to space out visitors and allow for social distancing. Please be aware that masks must be worn on our campus.

When:
May 4, 5, and 6
Session 1: 6:00 - 6:45 pm
Session 2: 7:00 - 7:45 pm
(each student will attend one session on one night)

Where:
DACC Main Campus
4565 Columbus Pike
Delaware, OH 43015

Details:
A sign-up form will be coming soon so that you know which night and which session to attend. Only half of each class will meet at a time to allow for social distancing. Each student may bring one parent or guardian with them.
Attendance
When the DACC school calendar is created, we do our best to align with as many of our associate schools as possible. However, there will be times with Professional Development Days, holidays, or spring break will not line up between DACC and your associate school.

Please note that when your associate school is not in session for a pre-planned holiday or break, transportation is still provided by your associate school. We ask that DACC students plan to be in attendance on those days. If you cannot be in school, you will need to fill out a prearranged absence form.

In the event of a closing or delay due to weather, your associate school may make a different call than DACC based on the weather conditions in your area. In these cases, parents may choose to follow your associate school's delay/dismissal, but we do ask that you call or email the Attendance Office so that the absence can be excused.

Graduation & Diplomas
With graduation on everyone's minds right now, this is a great time to talk about diplomas. When your child prepares to graduate high school, he or she will receive a diploma from your associate school. This is true even if your child attends DACC for the full day. From DACC, your child will receive a Certificate of Completion as part of his or her portfolio.

Since DACC is a super-elective offered as part of your associate school's curriculum, we do not award diplomas. The classes your child takes at DACC will show up on your associate school's transcript.

We do, however, hold a separate Completion Ceremony in May, so your child will have the opportunity to walk across the stage at your associate school's Graduation Ceremony and at DACC's Completion Ceremony.
DACC In the News - Cybersecurity
DACC Cybersecurity students were tapped to work on a real-world, meaningful project for Delaware County Homeland Security and Emergency Management. The work they are doing today will have a long-lasting impact on how the DCOHSEM conducts training and therefore, how the agency continues to serve our community.

Join us online
Following DACC on social media is a fun way to get a behind-the-scenes look at our unique programming and find out what your children are doing while they're on our campus. More than that, though, social media is how our DACC parents receive up-to-date announcements and in the case of an emergency, the quickest way to get information into your hands.
