A Healthy School Community!
Health-related concerns still top the reasons families give for student absences. We’ve collected resources below to assist schools and districts to help reduce and prevent unnecessary health-related absences.
Our When is Sick Too Sick for School handout is newly designed to help communicate with families about when to send a child to school if they show signs of illness. Download this and our other handouts for families about supporting a student who may have anxiety, and for families, schools and outside partners about keeping students healthy and in school.

Read our blog post offering tips for pediatricians and health care providers, Preventing Health-Related School Absences published by Kaiser Permanente’s Thriving Schools.
