Attention: Halton Hills Manufacturing, Supply Chain

and Logistics Employers

Invest Halton Hills – along with the Town of Caledon, City of Brampton, Milton Chamber of Commerce and Mississauga Board of Trade – has partnered with the Peel Halton Workforce Development Group on a Regional Talent Pipeline Program to address talent supply, retention, up-skilling and advancement in the supply chain and manufacturing sectors.


Employer Practices Lab (EPL) Interviews are the first part of this project, wherein employers will be interviewed to determine their hiring, retention, and operational needs.

New "Visit Halton Hills" Tourism Brochure

The Town has released a new "Visit Halton Hills" tourism brochure that allows tourists and residents to take a self-guided tour through local communities like Glen Williams, Acton and Georgetown. The brochure features hiking trails, unique culinary experiences, cultural assets and more.

Hamilton Halton Brant Regional Tourism Association (HHBRTA) - Spring Industry Exchange

The HHBRTA will host an Industry Exchange Forum on Wednesday, June 15 from 9 a.m. - 12 noon at the Holiday Inn in Burlington.


The forum will be an in-person event, designed with networking in mind to provide regional businesses with opportunities to re-connect. The event will also feature a profile of HHBRTA’s newly-developed 'Visitor Readiness Toolkit'.

Take Part in Halton Region's Annual Employment Survey

Halton Region is reaching out to business owners and operators across the region to participate in the annual Employment Survey.


Responses will help the Region understand current economic and land use trends, as well as prepare for economic recovery and future growth in years to come.


To participate in the 2022 Employment Survey, you can:


  1. Take the survey online.
  2. Speak to one of the employment surveyors, who will contact businesses in Halton until September 30, 2022. Calls and emails will be made Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Halton Region Small Business Centre - 

CRA Tax Seminars

The Halton Region Small Business Centre is once again hosting free virtual small business tax seminars, facilitated by an experienced Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) liaison officer.


The sessions allow the opportunity to interact directly with a CRA representative. Topics will include common tax mistakes and methods to avoid them, book and record-keeping tips and tricks, how to use benchmarking to the business advantage, and valuable information on the CRA’s online services.


  • Sole Proprietorship Tax Class – Tuesday, June 7 at 10 a.m.
  • Corporate Tax Class – Wednesday, June 15 at 10 a.m.

Applications for i.d.e.a. Fund Open for Clean/Green Startups in Halton Region

i.d.e.a. Fund is a program that fosters inclusion, diversity, environment and acceleration while contributing to a green recovery. The program, delivered in partnership with Regional Innovation Centres (RIC), supports a more sustainable economy while fostering an inclusive and equitable recovery in Southern Ontario.


The program will provide specialized industry expertise to develop growth plans and related strategies in areas such as talent attraction, raising follow-on investment, product development and quantification of product benefits/market value propositions, commercialization of intellectual property, and market diversification.


Each RIC will distribute up to a maximum of $30,000 in matching seed funding to select innovative businesses in various sectors.
