When a borrower qualifies to receive the Affordable Income Subsidy (AIS) Grant funds offered by Freddie Mac, our Compliance Department will no longer issue the AIS grant letter upon final approval. The AIS grant amount is now verified by the Conditional Commitment letter, which is also issued upon final approval.
This change is effective immediately and applies to both the First Step and Step Up programs.
