We are delighted to introduce ACCA’s newest addition to chapter leadership in Washington DC. The Washington DC Chapter also includes Maryland and Virginia.

Please join us in welcoming Olayinka Afolabi as deputy chapter head; she will be supporting Shehreen Farhan, chapter head of the Washington DC chapter.

Olayinka Afolabi, FCCA, MPM, CGFM, is a Compensation Analyst with the Montgomery County Government in Maryland, one of the largest county governments in the United States. She holds a Master of Policy Management from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy, a Fellow designation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in London, and the Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) credential from the Association of Government Accountants.

With more than 15 years of public and private sector experience in financial management, compensation policy development, and public administration across both the United States and Nigeria, she specializes in FLSA compliance, compensation technology implementation, and total rewards strategy in the public sector.

We are grateful to Shehreen for her willingness to support our ACCA family specifically in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. And to Olayinka for accepting the appointment as deputy chapter head. Both of them are keen to move the DC chapter forward by promoting more engagement among members and future members.
