Click above and let it "rain" on you.
Did you know that water is the
the number one culprit of damage to homes?

Water weakens foundations and causes mold and mildew.
Damp wood invites termites and carpenter ants.

The majority of d rainage problems can be
eliminated or reduced with
foliage maintenance
and proper performance of gutters and downspouts.

A little time invested now
can help prevent a big repair bill later!
To Do Now:
  • Make sure that you have gutters in the right places and that they are properly installed. Gutters are recommended at all appropriate roof slopes around the entire perimeter of the home.
  • Downspouts should have splash blocks and preferably flexible downspout extensions to prevent ponding, puddling and splash-back near the foundation.
  • Extend downspouts a minimum of 6 to 10 feet away from the base of the home where appropriate.
  • Clean your gutters in spring and again in fall.
  • All shrubs, vines and foliage around home should be no closer than 2 feet away. Trees, including their branches, should be a minimum of 10 feet from house.
