Good Morning,

  

Campaign season has already begun.  It seems like everyone wants to be President.  Each is trying to outdo the other by promising, if elected, to make everything free.  Free education, free health care, guaranteed high paying jobs and if some don't want to work, they should be paid anyway.  They say everything will be just wonderful.  We won't have a care in the world.

  

Most free stuff comes with strings.  Buy 2 get one free,  Three months free WiFi if you sign a 3 year contract with us.  Attend our Church service and we will feed you our healthy meal.  Politicians are no different.  Give up your health care and I will give you the one I know is good for you.  Work in the field I want you to work in and I will give you a free education.  It goes on and on.  You can fill in the blanks here.  

Pretty soon, we have no choices.  They are gone.  Free drove out competition. They, now, have us hooked.  Let us not fall into the trap.  Let's choose freedom.  Let's choose the freedom to live our own lives, make our own choices and yes, sometimes, our own mistakes.  We will grow and become better people and better able to cope in the real world.  Let's not fall into the trap of the political rhetoric we are bombarded with every day

    

Let's choose freedom.  Those at the highest levels of government don't really know what we want or need.  Let's bring power back to the local level where each of us knows what we need and has a vote that counts.  1 of 330,000,000 is not good odds.

Be free and stay that way.  Do not trade it for free stuff.
