Ever have one of those weeks where people are ranting and demanding immediate answers and action? For me, this has been one of them. Many times, it is in the heat of passion. Many times, they are being pressure by others to produce immediate results. Other times, it is more their nature. If we, or others are in immediate danger, quick action may be necessary. Even here, a little forethought is advised. Running into a burning building without the proper equipment, even to safe people, may be ill advised. We don't want bad decisions to add to the casualty count.
Most times, a little planning, assessment of risks, evaluation of benefits, and possibility of success assessment is advised. Is it worth it? Is it worth it now? These and other questions come into play. If the answer is yes, patience and perseverance come into play as well. Far better to keep working at it and succeed than to blindly drive onward and run directly into obstacles rather than slowly working around them. The old adage: How do you move a mountain? One dump truck at a time." Most of the time we don't move it. We just tunnel through it.
Keep in mind, success is the end result and not the vigor of the attack. Many a failed project started with hastily executed, misguided, and poorly planned actions.
