$30 million available for rural counties and Tribal Entities to address housing and climate change
The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) in partnership with the Office of Planning and Research (OPR), Strategic Growth Council (SGC), and California Air Resources Board (CARB) will soon announce the Regional Early Action Planning Grants of 2021 (REAP 2.0) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for approximately $30 million for Rural Counties, Tribes, and Tribally Designated Housing Entities (Tribal Entities), to address infill development that facilitates housing supply, choice, and affordability; to reduce vehicle miles traveled; and to affirmatively further fair housing.
This workshop will share information on the REAP 2.0 Final Guidelines for Tribal Entities and Rural Counties. HCD and its state collaborative partners hope to share details of the program, to encourage Tribal applications, and to share details on technical assistance (TA) available to Tribal Entities.
HCD is steadfast in our commitment to continued engagement efforts and ensuring that we are inclusive of our Tribal communities. We invite you to participate in this important work.
If you are unable to make the virtual workshop and would like to be sure your Tribe/TDHE has an opportunity to meet with staff to ask questions regarding the REAP 2.0 Final Guidelines, we can also try to schedule 1-on-1 sessions. We also encourage organizations to email the REAP 2.0 inbox at [email protected].
