We're still granting wishes!
Aubrey is a bright, beautiful young lady who is living with a rare form of Huntington’s disease. Every day she goes through a vigorous regime of exercises, acupuncture therapy, and holistic and Chinese medicine. She visits her neurologist every six months: speech, movement and eating are slower for her and although she accomplishes many tasks on her own, she needs assistance with more complex movements. After visiting her uncle and joining her cousins in their hot tub, Aubrey knew what she wanted to wish for: her very own oasis at home.
Aubrey was surprised on her 17th birthday when she stepped out onto the deck at her home and saw a hot tub while her surrounding family shouted “surprise!” Grinning from ear to ear she only had one thing to say: “I love it.” Thanks to a wish assist from Beachcomber Hot Tubs in Sherwood Park, Aubrey will be able to float away whenever she wants.
“We needed a break away from everyday treatment for Aubrey to do something just for her,” said her mom. “Everyone’s worked so hard for this. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done. She can’t wait to jump in!”
Nothing brings hope like the promise of a wish.
Thank you for your ongoing support during these unprecedented times. Together we can continue to change the lives of kids in our community, one wish at a time.
