A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

By AADC President Terry P. Rodriguez

WE'RE READY TO WIN

The Placer County Democratic Party is well positioned to attain victory in this election season, 2024. The evaluation of past election practices resulted in the formulation of a strong organizational structure for this purpose. The main focus is motivating our Democratic voters to definitely vote. There is a strategy to encourage those of no party preference, who lean Democratic, to do the same. We even have a strategy to encourage those disillusioned by that other political party to vote in support of our message and our candidates, those who will represent our message in the state and federal houses of legislation. Our country currently exists in what some have deemed uncharted territory. Election 2024 is a pivotal decision point that will determine whether we retain our system of Democracy as supported by the U.S. Constitution. This is a time to mobilize in great numbers toward protecting our present system of Democratic governing.

AADC HOLDS CANDIDATE NIGHT -

PLACER COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

By Charlie Riley, AADC Communications Co-Chair

What can I say? January 18th was fun and interesting. The meeting introduced to our club and to the greater community the four candidates running to represent District 5 on the Placer County Board of Supervisors.

“The evening was a first for the Auburn Area Democratic Club, and everyone was excited to listen to all the candidates,” said AADC Membership Chair, Sandy Floyd. “Events like this provide a great service to our community and support a fair and transparent election process,” added AADC member Rebecca Campbell.

The AADC sponsored Candidate Night packed the house with every seat in the room taken for the evening. Over ninety tickets had been reserved for the evening, creating a virtual sell-out.

JOIN INDIVISIBLE FOR THE ELECTION YEAR KICKOFF!

By Pat Ferguson

2024 will be a critical election for defending democracy and defeating MAGA extremism. There's no time to waste, so we are starting to organize now. We must re-elect Biden-Harris, defend our narrow Democratic Senate majority, and win back the House, giving Democrats a federal trifecta that can strengthen our democracy and make progress on the issues we care about.

Join us to learn more about Indivisble, to meet other organizers in our community, and to get to know the @SwingLeft and @Indivisible strategy for 2024. We'll also share more information and opportunities for how you can take action*, now and throughout the year, to have a real impact on the elections that determine the balance of power in our country.

*Vote Forward letters, Banner Brigade, postcards, canvassing, phone banks and text banks and more. Participate in the 24 4 24 program. Commit to 24 hours of action in 2024.

FOODIES UNITE FOR A WORTHY CAUSE – INDIVISIBLE!

By Pat Ferguson

Our last pizza fundraiser collected enough funds to help our postcard and letter writing. Now that the election is less than a year away, we need to double the amount we raised last time.

We are aiming towards a $300 goal. Papa Murphy’s donates 30% of sales to us. We need at least 20 of you to sign up so we know the fundraiser is a “GO.” You can get everything you need for a Super Bowl watch party, whether it is one or twenty of you! Click here to sign up. Let your friends know, too. Just have them indicate that they are supporting Indivisible Auburn when they order.

Foodies Unite for a Worthy Cause!  Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 11th and join us for a special fundraiser event. Your dining experience will not only satisfy your taste buds but also support Indivisible Auburn.

FEBRUARY 15th's COFFEE AND CONVERSATION -

DETAILS TO BE DETERMINED

By Charlie, Gail, Sandy, Rebecca, and Leslie

Mark February 15th on your calendar as the date for the next iteration of the AADC sponsored Coffee &Conversation with Democrats. Since November, the “committee” has experimented with different places, times, and formats. While we don’t yet know details of the next rendition, we do know it will be the third Thursday of the month, as usual. We’ll send out an email invite as soon as we secure a venue and set a time. Stay tuned!
