Each workshop begins with an engaging presentation about writing a strong resume, followed by work time with optional one-on-one assistance. Little Explorers

 What do you get when you combine a story, free play, and sensory activity stations? A sensory sensation! We’ll have lots of fun as we explore, create, and meet new friends! Sensory stations may get messy, so dress accordingly. This program is for parent and child to enjoy together! Family Storytime

Storytime and activities will be geared towards ages 0-6.

Bring your whole family for our Saturday morning storytime! This program will feature books, songs, activities, and a craft. This program is meant to be time for the whole family to enjoy the Library. It will occasionally feature guest presenters and themed activities.

Family LEGO Club

Preschool Storytime

Join us for rhymes, songs, finger plays, and stories! This storytime is for ages 3-5, and will include age-appropriate activities. Preschool Storytime provides a wonderful opportunity to practice listening, following directions, and getting ready for preschool.

Toddler Time

Toddler Time is for children ages 18-35 months with a parent or caregiver. Bring in your toddlers for a special bonding time just for them. We’ll read books and learn new rhymes and songs, along with lots of interactive fun. Free play will follow each session.

It's Elementary
(Grades K-3)

Join us for hands-on exploration at the
Library! Each week we will learn about a new subject and then create and experiment with activities based around this topic. Check the calendar or visit the Library to learn about the theme will be covering each week! Our first week, we'll be practicing coding and learning how to turn a banana into a musical instrument.

Rock 'N Rhyme
(Ages up to 18 months with a caregiver)

Babies up to 18 months with a parent or caregiver will enjoy about 20 minutes of nursery rhymes, songs, stories, and bubbles, followed by free play for those who wish to stay. We will often have fun with instruments or scarves, too! Rock ‘N Rhyme is a great opportunity to meet other caregivers and their babies in a relaxing and supportive environment. Registration is not required.

Friends' Monthly Meeting: Thursday, February 7, 10:00 am
Held in the small meeting room--everyone is welcome.

NOTE: Beginning in January 2019, the meeting time will change to 10:00 am on the first Thursday of each month.

About the Friends of the Auburn Hills Public Library:

Visit the Friends' Used Book Sale Room in the main floor alcove!
January Special is: Favorite Authors (Buy one book at regular price, get the second book of same type at half-price.)
The Friends earned close to $2,000, including memberships and donations.
Drop off book donations at the Check Out Desk up front. We especially need non-fiction and children's books!

We raised $232. If you have any items or gift certificates that you would like to re-gift to the Friends, please drop them off at the Check-Out desk up front. 

We will also be having a Spring basket auction, so we can use lots of donations. 

Renewals will be sent in January. Please encourage people to join. Funds are used to purchase items not covered by the budget. Look around for the new items.
