Artists are cordially invited to join us for the Art in the Hills Art Show, hosted by the Auburn Hills Public Library. To submit your art, please read the Submission Guidelines, fill out the submission form, and present it with a photo of your entry at the Auburn Hills Public Library by July 13, 2019. TWeens In Service Together welcomes back our favorite therapy dogs, Maggie and Sully, to help test out a brand-new dog toy design. Bring an old t-shirt you don't want anymore, and we'll show you how to turn it into a plaything for a furry friend. All toys made will be donated to All About Animals Rescue of Auburn Hills.

Painting With a Pop

Do you thirst to explore your artistic side, or are you just plain thirsty? Either way, join us when ART TO YOU comes to the Library to lead us in a painting program that explores the wonders of the universe. No experience necessary! We provide all the supplies and beverages, and everyone goes home with an amazing 11x14 painting of their very own creation. Limited spots available; registration requested.

Escape the summer heat, and come enjoy a movie and snacks at the Library! We’ll have interactive movie scripts so you can participate along with the movie. On July 1, we’ll blast into space with some furry friends!

Tour the Universe
Saturday, July 6

(Ages 13+)

Join experienced planetarium specialist Jenny Pons for a tour of the known universe, using 3D visualization software. Earthlings in attendance will make stops at a number of sites, including Jupiter, Saturn and a black hole at the center of our galaxy.
Astronomy Night

(Ages 5+)

Visit the moon, the stars, and the planets right here at the Library! We'll be using the NASA at My Library kit to explore outer space. The Farmington Community Stargazers will also be a t the program to help us learn about the stars and watch the skies. Come enjoy snacks, stargazing, and space. Registration recommended.

Around the Universe in 60 Minutes

Dig into the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math with our brand-new STEAM Studio! You can get hands-on with robots, fiber-optics, programming and more as you build and create with cool tech. Whether you're a future scientist or a super tinkerer, you'll love the STEAM Studio.
Baffling Bill Magic Show

Space Camp

Have you ever wanted to travel into outer space? See if you have what it takes at our astronaut boot camp! Our activities will be mmodeled on real training that astronauts might have to go through before they can go to outer space. We'll be usig our NASA at My Library kit to learn more about space and have samples of astronaut food! Registration recommended.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Do you know what your stuffed animals do when you're asleep? Bring your stuffed animal to the Library on Wednesday, July 17 for a stuffed animal sleepover, then join us the following day at 7:00 pm for a storytime, and to see what kind of mischief the stuffed animals got into. Come have fun in the sun at the AHPL Field Day. Bring our friends and test your skills with an egg-on-a-spoon race, a water balloon toss, and many more games.
