Help more people like David...

When David* first came to Key Campus while experiencing homelessness, he suffered from limited mobility and degenerative memory loss. With beds at capacity, David spent months in Emergency Overflow.

Then, a heart attack landed him in the hospital.

After open heart surgery and a pacemaker implant, the hospital discharged him back to the streets...with thousands of dollars worth of monitoring equipment in tow.

When that equipment was stolen, he could have fallen into deeper despair. And he would have, were it not for the compassionate and unrelenting experts at Keys to Change.

With support from staff at Keys to Change, David found placement in a long-term memory care facility - where we sat down with him later to hear his story.

First, he greeted us with a song. No, not "Mr. Brightside"...it was an old spiritual tune that seemed to pour straight from his soul.

Then, David shared his story - from his days as a collegiate-level runner studying biology and criminal justice, to becoming a business owner and a parent.

Life didn't turn out the way he'd expected, and he's the first to admit that he's made mistakes. Mistakes that cost him his closest relationships...so when he suffered serious injuries from a traffic collision, it was enough to cause him to fall into homelessness.

But David believes in forward momentum. And he kept moving forward.

Today, David is in a safe, stable environment. With that stability, he's in a season of self-reflection - hoping with time to rebuild relationships before memories go completely dark.

With your help, David is one of 1,456 neighbors who moved into housing last year.

For David, and for others on a similar path, Keys to Change provides momentum, stability when life unravels, and support on the path home.

We hope that you will consider recommitting your generosity right here - so that more neighbors like David have a chance to live their best life - starting now.

Consider a gift to end homelessness in 2026. We can’t do it without you.
