The Company

Ramco Refrigeration (“Ramco”) is a provider of repair/maintenance services and refrigeration, HVAC, and ice machine equipment to restaurants and foodservice customers in Southern California. 

The Deal

Nextech (formerly known as “CMS Nextech”), a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity (“Audax”), has completed the acquisition of Ramco. This acquisition further expands Nextech’s footprint in California and broadens its service capabilities. Ramco represents the company’s sixth acquisition since Audax’ investment.

The Thesis

In November of 2020, Audax partnered with Nextech, one of America’s largest independent, self-performing commercial HVAC/R service providers. Headquartered in Melbourne, Florida, Nextech provides commercial HVAC/R repair, maintenance, and installation services across all 48 contiguous U.S. states. Audax entered the partnership with the goal of building a comprehensive, national HVAC service platform. Audax will continue to work with the Nextech management team to drive further organic growth and aggressively seek acquisitions to widen its footprint, expand its customer base, and drive efficiencies within the business.
