.WHAT TO PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS:

1. We would like you to present something that is memorized. It doesn't have to be long but we want to see your memorization skills.

2. A scene/monologue of your choice that shows your comedic skills. If you want to read two different types of scenes/monologues, you are welcome to do that. It can be from CLUE or not. (It does not have to be memorized.)

We may ask you to read something from the play also in addition to what you have prepared.

A combination of two spots:

The Black Box Theater and The Middleton Senior Center in Middleton.

**********************************

FINANCIAL INFO:

Neverland receives its revenue solely from show fees and ticket sales.

A small amount also on concessions and well-wishes/ads/sponsors.

Each cast member is responsible for the following:

ADULTS: $100

AGES 14 - 17: $150

We also will ask each cast member to purchase their own script for $10 that they can keep.

Strike Exemption: $20

(If you want to skip Strike on Monday, May 1 from 5pm - 8pm, our clean up of the theater and transporting of costumes/props to our storage in Salem, you can pay $20)

(Averages to approx $3 an hour to be involved in this production from start to finish. - These fees help to cover the cost of theater, royalties, insurance and other costs.)

(Show fees are due one week after a role has been offered.)

SELLING TICKETS TO THE SHOW:

Since the majority of the audience comes from family and friends of the cast, we ask that each cast member sells ten tickets to the show.

If for some reason you don't think you will hit that mark, we ask that you make up the difference in sponsorships/ads. We are happy to work with you to make this happen. (Tickets will probably be in the $20 range .) Thank you.

PLEASE NOTE:

DOUBLE CASTING:

if there are enough auditioners to fill the roles, we will have two casts. The script requires that most characters have a second person to play them so they can be shown from the back to fool the audience. When not portraying your main role on a particular performance, you will portray the auxillary character and help with setting/working trick props.

Click the link abve to see character requirements.

Also there are some smaller roles. We will make these roles 'meatier' so you have more stage time. If you haven't worked with us before, we are a collaborative group and love taking ideas from actors for comic bits (up until the director says, "Thanks we are good!", which is usually the week before tech week." :) )

MOBILITY:

We will be utilizing the entire theater for the show, which includes the balcony, stairway up to balcony . There will also be blocks and platforms upon which the actors will be climbing. There also will be lots of moving quickly from one side of the stage to another.

MEMORIZATION:

Each week we will block one or two scenes. You will know ahead which scene(s) that is.

The scene will need to be memorized for the next rehearsal.

REHEARSAL ATTENDANCE / CONFLICTS:

At auditions we will ask for specific conflicts you have. You will be cast with those conflicts in mind. (We do plan to rehearse on Monday Holidays.) New Conflicts that were not approved at time of Auditions/ Role acceptance, can result in change in casting.

SHOW FEE INFO:

There are no refunds on show fees.

Unfortunately for this production there will be no show fee discounts/waivers.

CAST STRIKE on Mon, May 1:

We expect each cast member to attend and participate in strike. If you know you will not be able to participate you can add $20 to your show fee for that option.
