Phoenix, Arizona, April 18, 2019 - Audrey's Angels Executive Director, Linda Alderson, announced that the nonprofit has secured Desert Financial Credit Union as the title sponsor for the organization's 16th Annual Golf Tournament.
The Golf Tournament is May 4th at McCormick Ranch Golf Club, Scottsdale, AZ. The event is a scramble format and allows golfers of all skill levels to enjoy a fun filled day on the links in support of the charitable organization and their work serving the elderly.
Board Member and Tournament Chair, Matt Mabel, remarked "Having a Title Sponsor for our annual golf tournament provides a tremendous impact in our ability to underwrite the event and dedicate funds raised directly toward services to the elderly. Audrey's Angels is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit that serves the elderly living in small group care homes in Maricopa County with live music enrichment programs. Founded in 2001, Audrey's Angels is the only organization that provides therapeutic, weekly, live music enrichment programs to a very isolated elderly population (85% of the residents receive no outside visitors). The nonprofit also provide music and craft programs to disabled adults in adult day centers.
The elderly that Audrey's Angels serve all suffer from age related physical or mental disabilities that prevent them from living independently. The social interaction of weekly visits from the Audrey's Angels Music Angels, along with the mental and cognitive stimulation of live music provides a tremendous emotional and health benefit to these individuals.
