  • The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is now accepting applications for the California Competes Tax Credit 
  • There are $308 million in tax credits available for businesses that are expanding and adding full-time jobs in California 
  • Application deadline – August 11

CARB CORE Vouchers Opening August 19 


  • Eligibility is limited to small businesses and public agencies for this fiscal year 
  • Eligibility will be for businesses with average annual gross receipts of $15 million or less
  • The funding window will be open for three months 
  • Funds will be first come, first served until funds are expended

The Fast Charge California Project (FCCP) is the latest CALeVIP initiative funded by the CEC and managed by the Center for Sustainable Energy.

California Officials Developing EV Mandate Workarounds


Following the federal roll back of incentives and mandates related to EV implementation, governor Newsom has directed CARB and other California agencies to develop plans to create policies to require EVs. Agencies have until the second week of August to meet Newsom's deadline for recommendations.

Truck & Engine OEMs Seek Relief on ACF & NOx Regs


Truck and Engine OEMs signed the Clean Truck Partnership in 2023 with CARB to support the Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) regulation and more stringent NOx emission standards but are now seeking to step back from the agreement because the actions of the US EPA have made that agreement, “...no longer viable.”
