Golf is back for 2020!

2020 Socially Distant Golf Outing for The Arc-Dane County.

For the safety of our community, we will not be hosting a traditional golf outing in 2020 due to COVID-19. However, we will be hosting a socially distant golf fundraiser that will last from August 15 to September 30.

Golf anytime (or multiple times!) at The Meadows of Six Mile Creek in Waunakee.

Vouchers will be good for one year from purchase date but you must Golf from August 15 - September 30 to be eligible for prizes!

The Arc-Dane County Golf vouchers cost $90 each and include:

• 18 holes of golf with cart *golf on weekdays anytime or weekends after 2pm, vouchers good for one year from issue date

• $10 food/beverage voucher

• Prizes will be awarded for Best Individual Score, Best 4-Some Score, Peoria Handicapped Score, Best Dressed Team, Best Team Photo, Most Enthusiastic Team Video, and a random winner selected from those who post and tag us on social media.

Don’t like your score or just love to golf? Purchase more than one voucher and help raise even MORE money for The Arc-Dane County!

Never golfed before? This is a great way to try it out.

Golf all year long to benefit your favorite cause -- all proceeds benefit the programs and services of The Arc-Dane County.

At the end of your round. turn in your scorecards to the staff at The Meadows.

The Arc-Dane County is Part of the Huge Coalition Calling on Congress to Block Plans to Rush Census Count

ACTION NEEDED!

Last week, the Census Bureau announced that it will end the self-response and door-knocking periods one month early on September 30

“The Arc condemns last-minute plans to essentially cut short the 2020 Census, particularly at a time when people with disabilities and other hard-to-count populations are experiencing unprecedented crisis and indefinite hardship. People with intellectual and developmental disabilities are full members of society and we count. The Administration must not limit our chance to participate in our democracy and be counted,” said Peter Berns, CEO, The Arc. “We urgently call on Congress to act immediately to extend the legal deadline for reporting census data so that there is more time to finish the survey and include everyone.”

Make sure you have filled out and submitted your 2020 Census
Make others aware of the importance of the 2020 Census for the disability community. Get your "You Count! Be Counted!" Buttons in English and Spanish from The Arc-Dane County.
