Ways You Can Get Involved NOW:
August is National Appendix Cancer Awareness Month!!!
The ACPMP Research Foundation has established the month of August as Appendix Cancer Awareness Month in the United States.

The establishment of an official awareness month will complement the official ribbon color for appendix cancer, which is amber. Let's “Turn August Amber for Appendix Cancer”!

ACPMP's goal is to raise awareness of appendix cancer in the hopes of improving diagnosis and treatment of our patients and to promote referrals of our patients to specialized centers with experience in treating this rare and often complicated disease.

Our planned activities for August include:
  • Sharing facts about AC/PMP
  • Encouraging patients to share their stories and information about appendix cancer on social media
  • And more!

You can follow along on our FacebookInstagram and Twitter; use the #AugustForAppendixCancer and add our Facebook frame to your profile picture! Get ready for the awareness month by purchasing some swag from our online store like awareness wristbands, magnets, or a hat!
Many thanks to Cancer.Net, the patient information website of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (the world’s largest organization of cancer physicians) for recognizing August as Appendix Cancer Awareness Month!

Thank you to those who supported the 3rd Annual Joe Gouin Memorial Classic on Saturday, July 31st at the Bedford Hills Golf Club in Temperance, MI.

Thanks to friends, family and supporters they raised nearly $18,000 for ACPMP!

From Chris Gouin: "It was a wonderful day and as my sister-in-law said, “very emotional and humbling.” We had an amazing show of supporters and participants who came out to join us on a beautiful summer day for golf, mini-golf, and dinner. The day was filled with love, support and fun with family, friends and new friends we met for the first time. There was even a proposal! My niece’s boyfriend asked to her to marry him on the last hole surrounded by family and friends... She said yes!!

Among all the fun we had golfing and celebrating Joe, we remembered the deeper meaning of why we were there which was to support ACPMP’s mission and raise funds for appendix cancer research. We are truly grateful for the support from all…"
