Dearest gentle readers:

Hope this finds you well, and that you all had a lovely last month of summer! We can't believe it's September already, but we're excited for fall, too, of course.

August was dreamy, and we wanted to share some of the highlights with you, before we dive into autumn.

We were most excited last month to collaborate with our good friend Jennifer Frances of Bess the Book Bus! First we popped up together at the Osborn Family Health Center's Wild West Community Day.

Then we headed down to Chesilhurst, where our incredible board member Flossie Laws had arranged for a joint visit to the Freedom School.

In Chesilhurst, we collaborated not only with Bess the Book Bus, but also with the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, and even the Chesilhurst Police Department's Community Policing Unit and the Winslow Township Fire Department!

Many thanks to Flossie, Jenn, and everyone who made these wonderful events possible!

We also had the pleasure of hosting pop-up libraries at three (!) other community events in August: DJ Wagner's Annual Community Drive, a backpack giveaway at the Historic Macedonia AME Church, and CLHI's North Camden Expo! Shouts out to Sehrish and Leo for being fantastic pop-up librarians at these events!

Our Free Book Shelves initiative continued to grow with new locations at Respond Inc. and Maplewood Treatment Solutions. Many thanks to Tanya and Tiffany for partnering with us to distribute books at their locations!
