Kids helping kids is one of our favorite things at HOH!

Surprisingly, 50% of families in Southampton Schools and 60% of families in Tuckahoe Schools rely on free and reduced-priced breakfast and lunch.

August has been a challenging month for us. Parking lot repairs have forced us to keep modifying how we give out food and work extra hard to be able to receive all the deliveries we need. We are so grateful to our dedicated volunteers for all of their extra help and the Basilica of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary for their support and understanding!

Even with limited access and distribution hours we still welcomed more families than any August before. This month we gave out 19,693 meals worth of groceries. Please consider hosting a food drive this fall or donating unopened food items. We accept food donations on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10AM-2PM.

We know that the start of fall means seasonal work will begin to dwindle and more and more of our customers will turn to us to keep their families fed. With your help, we will continue to serve our neighbors enough nutritious food staples every week to feed their families.

We recently held our 2nd annual Back-to-School Bash! Helping our kids prepare for the new school year was so much fun!

We distributed backpacks in partnership with Supplies for Success, had a delicious breakfast, played games, did crafts, and gave back-to-school haircuts. Students were also given toiletries, extra school supplies, and books were generously provided by Rogers Memorial Library.

Thank you to the First Presbyterian Church in Southampton for hosting us in their wonderful gathering room. A very special thank you to Leah Ravin for her outstanding job collecting school supplies of all kinds. Thank you, Anne Ramunno and Sam Leonardi, for generously donating their time to give the kids haircuts. And thank you to our volunteers Gloria Dios, JB Andreassi, Riley Panza, Kathryn Blackmore, and Roberto Prieto for their help making it a wonderful day.

In the coming weeks, we will continue to provide everything kids need for a great start to the new school year. Please join us by making a donation to support local students today!

We started off the month with our 2nd annual Moonlit Plunge at Cooper's Beach and it was the best night ever! More than 600 friends came out to show their support for all those we serve.

Thank you to John Betts and the whole staff at Coopers Beach Shack; DJ's Artur Barbosa and Tyler Garcia for keeping the party going long after the plunge; Gloria Dios, Riley Panza, Katherine Blackmore, and Anika Griffing for providing face painting for our young guests.

A special thank you to the Southampton Village Ocean Rescue, Southampton Volunteer Ambulance, Southampton Village Police Department, Southampton Village Fire Department for keeping us all safe and the Southampton Village Board of Trustees for allowing us to host this!

A huge debt of gratitude to the best event planning committee - JB Andreassi, Gloria Dios, Amy Greco, Arielle Haller-Silverstein, Andrea O'Callaghan, and George Wlodarczyk.

Thank you to our incredible sponsors and to all individuals that generously supported the event!  Proceeds from the event are allowing us to keep up with the growing demand for our services. If you didn't make it this year, don't miss it next year!

Monetary donations directly help us to feed our neighbors in need. Donate here!

2. Are you accepting food or clothing donations?

3. Do you need volunteers?

Yes! Please sign up on our website here

4. How does one register for the food pantry?

One can register ahead by calling our office (631-283-6415) to speak with our bilingual staff. New customers are welcome to visit during food pantry hours- Wednesdays and Fridays from 10AM-12PM. Upon arrival, they will be asked to fill out a registration form and provide valid identification. This form is used solely for reporting numbers to the food bank so we receive enough food to feed our customers.

Our mission is simple - to help people in our local community who are in need with dignity and without discrimination. For the past 43 years, we've been able to do that together. We thank you!
