An Amazing August @ the Gazebo
(and online each Sunday, as well!)
August 9 - Dr. Matt Dewar - our Wellness Director Matt who begins work with Middle and High School students and their families Sept. 1 - will offer the message with super singer / songwriter Terry Moran providing original tunes. TD leads liturgy.
August 16 - Dr. Thomas Dickelman preaches with Ally Ahern and Ken Hall offering music. Ally grew up in Lake Bluff and is back in town for a bit - she is both finishing her degree at the Berklee College of Music and developing her music career on the west coast. Ally - it is great to have you back! TD leads liturgy.
August 23 - Joint Celebration Service @ the Gazebo with the 1st Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest - Rev. Clint Roberts (pictured) & Dr. Thomas Dickelman will each preach for 10 minutes on the same passage - just like our service with Church of the Holy Spirit - with very special music by Soul Message Band. TD leads liturgy.
August 30 - The Rev. Veronica Johnson of the Hyde Park Union Church and McCormick Seminary will be back for her annual visit to the Community Church pulpit (at the Gazebo) with our good friend Derek Stout. This Gazebo service - like all our services - will begin at 10:00 am and will also be available on tape at our website at 10:00 am, as well. Please join us, and bring some friends. TD leads liturgy.

Finally, I received a ton of feedback on Sean Miller's sermon last Sunday - more than has been given @ our church for quite some time. If you did not get a chance to hear his message, check it out HERE.
By the way, the picture is of Sean last Sunday with his new Community Church business cards! Sean starts his work with us Sept. 1.
