The Rev. Peter Rodgers Honored with Choral Evensong to Mark his Retirement

On Sunday, August 30, friends and clergy from around the diocese gathered at Bethel Lutheran Church in Sacramento for a Choral Evensong honoring the Rev. Peter Rodgers, who is retiring after many years of service in the Diocese.

Readers at the service were the Rev. Anny Genato and the Rev. John Heidel,

for whom Fr. Peter served as mentor. The reception following included a toast to Fr. Peter and his wife Kathy, and Bishop Megan reading a note from Bishop N.T. Wright, celebrating his 50-year friendship with Fr. Peter.

Congratulations, Fr. Peter, and blessings for your retirement!
