Did You Know...?
Michael Chittum, Executive Director
It is easy to think of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches (NACCC) and think only of local congregations worshiping in meeting houses. The NACCC, however, is also the endorsing agent for three individuals serving as military chaplains. Ariel (Al) T. Castillo, CH, CPT of the U.S. Army, Chaplain Derek E. Martin, LT of the U.S. Navy, and COL Andrew Gibson of the U. S. Army (Maine National Guard) serve in their respective branches and places of service under the endorsing authority of the NACCC.

This is a good thing. As you pray for churches or ministers of the NACCC, remember these three.

Tennessee – “Blessed far and beyond what they had prayed for” is how Ella Smith describes the Morgan Scott Project's Camp in the Community 2019 . Since the camp’s beginning four years ago, the attendance has maxed out at 60 as the number of children they can accommodate. K-8 students participate in group activities, crafts and Bible study and gleefully toss a few water balloons. High school students offer community service, this year they built a wheelchair ramp and helped to clean and prepare a house for extermination work. Some high school students also serve as junior camp counselors who are shepherded by a parent who stays on the site. Ella was moved to tears when she saw the whole pavilion full of kids with their heads bowed in prayer.
