Lurie Children's MedTech Week returns in August, brought to you by Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, in strategic partnership with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute, the Innovate2Impact program, and the Consortium for Technology & Innovation in Pediatrics (CTIP). The series of events will include in-person and virtual opportunities occurring August 10–14.
MedTech Week brings together stakeholders from across the pediatric innovation ecosystem to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, addressing complex challenges in pediatric research, healthcare, and medical device innovation.
The week of activities will conclude on Friday, August 14 with the annual Pediatric Device Innovation Symposium, hosted by CTIP at the Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center. The symposium gathers the MedTech community to focus on critical issues in pediatric medical device innovation, with an agenda featuring interactive panels, company showcases, product demos, and networking opportunities.

Pediatric Device Research Demystified: Infrastructure, Partnerships, and Pathways to Success
Greg Zapotoczny, PhD, Jamie Burgess, PhD, Katherine Maskel, MBA, and Kathryn Sparks will join moderator Juan Espinoza, MD, to discuss achieving success in pediatric medical device research.

Inside Pediatric Innovation: A Fireside Chat with Leading Medical Device Researchers
Moderated by Juan Espinoza, MD, panelists Jessica Walter, MD, MSCE, and Seth Goldstein, MD, MPhil, will share their experiences in pediatric medical device research. Dr. Walter’s research interests include reproductive medicine, digital health, advanced wearable sensors, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Dr. Goldstein’s research leverages his background in biomedical engineering to develop technologies for pediatric patients.

CTIP Pediatric Device Innovation Symposium
CTIP's Pediatric Device Innovation Symposium gathers key stakeholders, innovators, clinicians, patients, and industry leaders to discuss the latest developments in pediatric medical devices and foster collaborations that can drive positive change in pediatric healthcare.
The symposium will feature interactive panels, company showcases, product demos, and networking opportunities. This year’s topics will include device procurement, industry partnerships, regulatory strategies and investing in pediatric MedTech.
