Please note that attendance of Directly Meeting Your Buddha Nature is restricted to those who have met any one of the following requirements:
- Have completed, or begun with the intention to complete, the preliminary practices (ngondro).
- Have attended a previous seminar with Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche.
- Have completed the First Excellence in the Tara's Triple Excellence program.
Ocean of Amrita Puja: August 14th
Rinpoche will lead the Gomde community in our annual ritual practice of the Ocean of Amrita, a profound practice for purifying samaya, the sacred commitments that mark our relationships with our teachers and link all of us together as practitioners in the same Vajrayana community. This event is open to everyone. Attendance at this event in included in the other programs.
We are excited to announce that Erik Pema Kunsang will teach in the afternoon sessions of both programs. He will teach on Padmasambhava's Ten Foundations for Vajrayāna Practice, advice originally given to the dakini Yeshe Tsogyal that reveals how to relate to life in a liberating, personal way.
Erik has served as the translator for Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, and many of this generation's greatest Tibetan masters. His oral and textual translations have opened the door to the Buddhist path for countless Western students. Erik, who teaches frequently at Gomde Denmark and other Gomde centers in Europe, was also instrumental in the founding of Gomde California. We are delighted that he will be returning to our center for the first time in seven years.
