Stephen Ministers Training

Are you looking for a way to put your faith into action? Our Stephen Ministry may be for you!

Stephen Ministers are trained church members who provide emotional and spiritual care for someone facing difficult times. We provide a safe space to explore feelings, fears, and hope – the good, the bad, and the ugly. We let Christ work through us to provide Christian care and as we open ourselves to help others, we are touched and blessed also.

Our annual training begins in September. To learn more about this ministry, contact Deacon Kathy Smith at (352) 399-5103 or smithkath@aol.com.

Men of Hope Update

Come join us for breakfast and meet our new leader, Raybon Gilbert. Raybon is currently a Council Member-At-Large with several years experience in Small Group Leadership in previous congregations nationwide. He is very excited about meeting each of you, previous or new members of Men of Hope.

Our next breakfast meeting will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Hope Central Campus on Thursday, September 14 beginning at 8:00am. The cost is $7.

At this first meeting after the summer, we plan to determine what the group will be and establish an agenda moving forward. Will we be a Bible Study Group, Prayer Group, Discussion Group, Support Group, Fellowship and Faith Group, Mentoring Group, Mission Service Group, or a combination of these?

One thing is readily apparent: Jesus knew that meaningful accomplishments could occur in the crucible of small group relationships - men seeking God, truth and seizing the opportunity to support one another in their daily challenges and sticking with one another to better live their faith and make Christ known.

Please mark your calendars and register online to join us!

He has preached across the country and around the world, previously serving as a Chaplain on Norwegian Cruise Lines during religious holidays for 10 years.

He currently lives in his self-proclaimed bachelor home in Spruce Creek South, Summerfield. Pastor Paul enjoys researching Biblical facts, talking with people, and sports (especially football). School Kits for Lutheran World Relief

Lutheran World Relief – Each year, the Women of Hope assemble 80 school kits with specific items collected for each bag. Each bag is assembled with the same exact items. This ensures that each recipient receives uniform items that are useful to their situation. This is a program sponsored by Lutheran World Relief, a ministry of U.S. Lutheran, serving communities living in poverty overseas.

Items can be dropped off at Hope Central Campus in the Information Hallway. At Everglades and Hope Lake Weir Campus, there will be a box near the check in table. We will accept donations in the months of July and August. Questions? Contact LaVera Wiberg at (352) 205-6410.

Don't Forget: Update Your Emergency Contact Info

At Hope, we keep detailed emergency contact information for our members in case of accident, disaster, or another form of emergency. This information can be vital if you suffer a medical episode or have an incident at church.

Please rest assured: This email is not a scam. Your update email will come from frontdesk@hope4all.church.
