Justin Everett reviews the latest CD by Texas Legacy Czech Band and profiles DJ Bob Guyette from Massachusetts. This issue is jam-packed with photos from the PoLK of A 30th Anniversary celebration, and Stars, Stripes & Polka On dance. Of course, we have your August calendar of dances, festivals, and live music events, and the listing of church picnics.

The August issue also features our 5th Annual Oktoberfest Guide. It's bigger and better than ever. 40 pages filled with the inside info you need to plan your fall festival trips. The issue also features a story on a new Oktoberfest song by The Klaberheads of Ohio. Watch the video.

Early one morning, a mother went in to wake up her son.
"Wake up, son. It's time to go to school."

"But why, Mom? I don't want to go."

"Give me two reasons why you don't want to go."
"Well, the kids hate me for one, and the teachers hate me, too!"

"Oh, that's no reason not to go to school. Come on now and get ready."
"Give me two reasons why I should go to school," the son said.

"Well, for one, you're 52 years old. And for another, you're the principal!"
