We invite you to attend a one-hour session with Pastor Jeff to learn more about the United Methodist church and Dayspring specifically, this Sunday, August 18, following the 10:00 service. Whether you’re a new mom or you’ve been through it all, the Moms’ MeetUp is open to all moms in search of a kid-free night out. We will meet for dinner and supportive, judgement-free conversation at Freely Taproom & Kitchen on Friday, August 23, at 7:00pm. Email Andrea with questions or to RSVP.

Do you love to sing? Have you always wanted to sing in the Dayspring Choir? Now’s a great time! Dayspring has a summer choir that sings in the 10:00 service twice a month. The choir meets at 9:30 the morning of the service (no weekday rehearsals). The summer choir sings again on August 25. Email David for more information. 

Join our Giving Garden team and Master Gardener Angela Judd for a free class on August 28 at 6:30pm in the Palo Verde Room. Companion planting and crop rotation can feel overwhelming for the home gardener, but it doesn't need to be that way. Learn the fundamental principles for successfully implementing these practices for a healthy and productive garden. Angela Judd is creator of the popular blog, "Growing in the Garden." The Celebration Chorale, Dayspring’s adult choir, will begin regular rehearsals on Wednesday, August 28, at 7:00pm in the Music Room. Email David for more information.

Regular rehearsals for the DayspRingers handbell choir started August 13. Please email Cindy to learn more. Children’s, and Youth Choirs began rehearsals on July 31. The Children’s Choir (1st-6th grades) meets from 6:00 to 6:45, and the Youth Choir (7th-12th grades) rehearsal is 6:45 to 7:30. New singers are always welcome! Our Labor Day All-Church Campout is on the books for Aug. 30 - Sept. 2 at Hoyer Campground in Greer! Join us for fellowship, campfires, potlucks and FUN at a cool 8,500 feet! Registration opens today.Please email Carol Muggeridge for more information or to register.

Bible Sunday is coming up on September 15. Dayspring has a tradition of presenting Bibles to all third graders (and older kids who have not yet received Bibles) during the church service. If you would like your child to participate, please email Andrea as soon as possible so she can be sure to order enough Bibles for everyone.

We are hosting a First Aid/CPR/AED training class on Saturday, September 21, from 9:00-noon in the Fellowship Hall. The program cost is covered for the first 25 attendees. This training is open to the public, but spots are limited. Please email Andrea to register.
