Regional UMC Meeting with the Bishop

at First United Methodist of Pensacola

Join Bishop David Graves and leadership from the Alabama-West Florida Conference at this regional meeting. Bishop Graves will bring a message to the laity of the conference and answer any questions they might have. These events are specifically focused on laity to help them understand current denominational matters and to provide accurate information.

Custom Ink is fulfilling orders and collecting payment- and the shirts will ship directly to you within 2 weeks after the order deadline (deadline to order is Wednesday, August 17). The cost is $12-13/each and sizing runs small (they recommend sizing up if you'd like- view the sizing guide at the link). The color is "Steel Blue" and this brand of shirt is known to be very soft and comfortable. Calling all Cooks! Wednesday Evening Dinner 

Beginning September 7
Wednesday evening dinner is being revitalized! If you’d like to join a rotating team of volunteers who prep, cook, decorate, and serve, visit the Hospitality Desk to sign-up or call the church office. We can’t wait to get started, working together to make Wednesday evening dinner a time of fellowship and culinary enjoyment! 
Small Group Leader Planning Meeting

We want to strengthen your faith in Jesus Christ and help you to grow as one of his followers. We also want you to be source of God’s grace to others. A great way to grow as a follower of Jesus is by participating in a small discipleship group. A small discipleship group is when 8-10 believers meet regularly to read the Bible together, pray for one another, and encourage one another in their walk with Jesus. 

If you are interested in developing this ministry or in leading a small group, please contact Pastor Scott at We will hold a planning meeting on Monday, August 22 at 6 PM in the Banquet Room in the Activities Center.

Bible Studies are resuming soon in the Activities Center! Joining a study is such a helpful step in growing deeper in your relationship with Christ through community. Acolyte/Crucifer Training for 3rd-12th Graders

Sunday, August 28, Noon-1pm
Acolytes (light bearers) and Crucifers (cross bearers) are needed for the 11:00am Traditional Worship Services. A training day will help prepare them for duties such as cross bearing (6th-12th graders), candle lighting (3rd-5th graders), serving communion, and receiving offering. 
Grumpy Old Men Group: Come and Join!
Come and be a part of the Grumpy Old Men - a service oriented group that meets each Thursday at 8:00am in the Activities Center for fellowship and planning projects. We would love to have you join us- young or old, man or woman!

Quilters on the Key
1st and 3rd Thursdays, 9:30am-12:30pm

You're invited to join this group for a time of fellowship and quilting in the Activities Center. Quilts and other items are crafted and given to persons facing difficult situations as a gesture of comfort and thoughtfulness. Use your talents to spread the love of God as part of this important group of service and fellowship.
Prayer Shawl Ministry

1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 2:00-4:00pm
The Prayer Shawl Ministry exists to knit and crochet blankets and other items of comfort and encouragement. These items are given to newborn babies, those facing health issues, and more. Come and be a part of this group of fellowship and giving- all are welcome! It's a wonderful time of getting to know others while also making a difference for those who need to feel God's care.

Intercessory Prayer Group Meeting

Tuesdays at 8:30am
You are invited to join our intercessors in the Gathering Lobby for their weekly prayer meeting. If you have a prayer need that you would like to add to the prayer list, email it to or you may use our App to submit your prayer request. Additionally, you may fill out a prayer request card at the Hospitality Desk. 

Prayer lists are available to be picked up at the Hospitality Desk.
Nursery, Elementary, & Youth Information

Nursery (8 weeks - Pre-K)

A nursery is available for all church services and many activities. Wee Worship takes place Sunday mornings during Worship Services. Preschool Sunday school is at 10:00am. Contact for more information!
PBUMC Kids Ministry (Elementary: K - 5th Grade)

PBUMC Kids Ministry is for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grades. Each Sunday morning is Children's Worship at both 9:00am and 11:00am. At 10:00am we have Sunday School. Email to be placed on our email list or to find out more.
The Wave Student Ministry (for 6th-12th Grades)
6th-12th grade Sunday school each week at 10:10am in the Youth Room and Sunday Gym Night each week from 4:00-6:00pm in the Activities Center, Dinner provided! Bring a friend! Not on our mailing list? Email to be added.
