Thank you for your generous giving - we have received $37,222 to date! The renovated bathrooms are ready to use (and are beautiful!) and the new HVAC system on the 2nd floor has been working well. Converge Youth Night starts Wednesday, August 22
We are thrilled to announce a partnership between 5 churches to create a weekly youth gathering called "Converge" at CBC! We will gather for worship, games, small groups and fun EVERY Wednesday in Room 317 (enter the building through the 3rd floor entrance using stairs at CDC entrance) . Culpeper United Methodist, City on a Hill, Maranatha, Antioch and CBC are coming together to reach out to teenagers in Culpeper. Pray for this new endeavor. Youth ALIVE! will meet before Converge and a snack dinner will be available. If you would like to help, contact Dan . (Have a younger sibling - check out our Children's Activities on Wed.)

This best-selling discipleship course, by Henry Blackaby and Claude King, has helped millions of believers learn to recognize God’s activity around them, adjust their lives to Him, and be ready to join Him where He is working. We are partnering with 5 churches, and we will be hosting a team of 50 volunteers to lead us during the weekend. To get the schedule and sign up, click here. Dinner Groups are Starting More than 60 people participated in the spring! Dinner Groups are 8 to 12 people meeting once a month to share a meal with good conversation and getting to know one another in a small group stetting. Dinner Groups begin again in September and will remain the same from the spring for our fall session — but new members are welcome. If you would like to join a group, contact the church office by August 31. For more information talk to Ann Lucas or Vita McCall.
One Table, One Community, Celebration Sunday, August 26
We will celebrate ALL the work that happens in our facilities and all the partners we have with one worship service at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary on Sunday, August 26. The worship service will include 5 churches and more than a dozen partners. After the service, we will have lunch together (hot dogs provided, please bring a side dish). If you can help us with set up or lunch, please contact the church office .
Senior Adult Activities
Game Day, TODAY, 2:00-5:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Come for the fun - stay for the games.
Fall Bible Study "Graying in Grace," starts August 20 at 1:30 p.m. at The Culpeper.
Outing to Shenandoah Valley Museum , August 23, leave church at 9:00 a.m. We will have lunch at The Village Square Restaurant . The cost of the museum is $8.
Lancaster Trip September 17 thru 19  We will enjoy Sight & Sound's production of “Jesus” as well as some great food, tours and shopping while we are there. We still have a few seats available. For more info or to sign up for any of the above, contact Hans .
Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy is a great opportunity for high school youth to learn leadership skills and make a difference in their community. Please check out the website here.  We hosted this group last year, and we will be starting a new group on Monday, September 10 at 6:30 p.m. The group meets once a month on the 2 nd Monday night. The Leader Academy will also be at CCHS and EVHS this year.  An application is required to participate and if you fill out the application by August 27, you get FREE Chick-Fil-A. Contact Dan for an application or if you have ?'s.

Leadership Council Nominations The Leadership Council is responsible to work with the church staff in providing strategic direction for the church. Each year we elect 2 members to serve a 3 year term. The Leadership Council Nominating Committee presents the names of 2 individuals at the September Business meeting. Other nominations may be presented at the September Business meeting but they need to be submitted to the church office by September 9.
