Mass/Liturgy Attendance Expectations

Our first Eucharistic celebration is Wednesday, August 19. As a reminder, these are important community events, and attendance is required. Campus is closed, and early-outs are permitted only in advance with verification of a medical/dental appointment. 

Monday, August 17 Morning Traffic

Thank you for a smooth day of drop-off and pick-up on Friday! We anticipate heavier traffic on Monday, August 17, as all students will be arriving for an 8:15 AM start. Please plan ahead and allow yourself extra time. We anticipate it may take 20 to 30 minutes for all vehicles to pass through our lot after 8:05 AM.

As a reminder, for all families picking up students in the afternoons, please consider arriving 15 minutes after the final bell to help with traffic flow.

Schedule Changes

A limited schedule-change window will be available through Friday, August 21, for significant academic concerns or errors, not preference-based changes. Students must follow the process in the Course Advising Hub on Schoology exactly; AP students who determine a course is not the right fit may request to drop through Friday, August 28, with teacher approval required after Friday, August 21.

Skirt Check

Please take a moment this weekend to make sure your daughter’s skirt meets our dress code expectations.

• Length: Skirts should fall below the fingertips (approximately four inches above the knee).
• Approved uniform: Skirts and skorts must be purchased from Lands' End. Lululemon and other athleisure skirts are not permitted.
• Dress code violations: The first skirt-length violation will result in an email notification to the student. A second violation will result in notification to the parent/guardian. A third violation will result in the loss of skirt privileges.

As always, the primary responsibility for a student’s attire rests with the student and their parents/guardians. If your daughter needs a uniform refresh, approved skirts and skorts are available through our Lands' End store.

First Parents Guild Meeting of the Year - Wed. Aug. 26

All Carondelet parents and guardians are welcome to attend our Parents Guild meetings. It's a great way to meet other parents, find out what we are doing, and how you can be a part of it. Our first meeting will feature a Carondelet Parent Panel to answer your questions. Coming to a meeting will also earn Freshman Families one point. First Fathers Club Meeting in September

Start the 2026–27 school year right with our first meeting on Tuesday, September 15 at 6:30 PM in the Jean Hofmann Center for Innovation. Father-Daughter Valkyries Basketball Game - Friday, Sept. 18

Members of our Fathers Club have organized a father-daughter outing to watch a Valkyries basketball game on Friday, September 18, at 7:00 PM. The price is $50 per person, and you can sign up today to secure your seats.

Father-Daughter Bowling Night - Saturday, Nov. 14

Enjoy some father-daughter bowling at Clayton Valley Bowl on Saturday, November 14, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. $20/person for 2 hours of bowling. Sign up to bowl here!

Well done and congratulations to our fall student-athletes who worked and trained hard through fall sports tryouts last week. These girls are strong and resilient. We are proud of them.

Fall Sports Night 

All athletes who are rostered on a fall sports team and one parent/guardian are required to attend our Fall Sports Night on Monday, August 17, 6:30–8:00 PM on the Main Campus. This is an opportunity to hear from our Athletic Director, Alisa Payne, and from team coaches. Student-athletes will be attending an Athletics Workshop with a special guest speaker in the Garaventa. We will also have limited spirit wear for purchase from 6:00 to 6:30 PM outside the gym.

Fall Sports Liturgy 

Fall student-athletes, join your fellow sport teammates in our Fall Sports Liturgy on Tuesday, September 1. We will gather in the Garaventa at 8:15 AM. Attire is a school-approved uniform. All fall rostered athletes are required to attend.

Parents: Often throughout the sport season, coaches need extra help with logistics such as planning team dinners, organizing events, etc. If you plan to volunteer, you must complete the parent volunteer clearance.

Camp Alpha Frosh Retreat: Friday, September 18

Camp Alpha is a foundational retreat experience that helps ease the transition into high school and often paves the way for strong friendships. Ven a Ver Immersion Information

Interested in learning more about social justice issues? Consider participating in a Ven a Ver Immersion trip in the 2026–27 school year! Ven a Ver immersions are justice-focused trips rooted in education, reflection, and action. This year, we will have immersion trips to Washington, DC, Chicago, and the Salinas Valley. The Wellness Team is excited to welcome new and returning students back to campus! The Cannon Wellness Center is a supportive and welcoming space where students can connect, recharge, and participate in daily wellness activities during break, lunch, or after school. Individual counseling appointments are also available as needed.

Frosh/Peer Counselor Friday Lunch

On Friday, August 21, all freshmen are invited to bring their lunches to the Chapel lawn and join their Peer Counselors for a fun opportunity to connect, build community, and get to know one another.

Seniors:

• Seniors will receive important college information during the mandatory Cougar U: College Workshop on Friday, August 21 at 1:40 PM.
• Seniors are asked to schedule and attend mandatory 15-minute check-ins with their College Counselor between August 24 and September 3 to discuss their college plans and application progress. Check-ins can be scheduled through each counselor’s schedule link on the College Counseling website.

All Students:

• College reps will start visiting Carondelet and De La Salle campuses in August. All juniors and seniors are able to attend these presentations with teacher approval and filled out pass at least 48 hours in advance. Make sure to check Maia Learning weekly for up-to-date information on visits and to register.
• We are hosting the Out-of-State College Fair on Monday, August 24, from 2:15 to 3:30 PM, where colleges will be on campus to introduce their schools and answer questions. Here are some of the colleges and universities you can expect to meet!

• The University of Utah
• The Jesuit Excellence College Tour (JET) will be on Tuesday, September 22, from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Stop by and learn more about Jesuit colleges.

Welcome Week 2026: August 24–August 29

Welcome Week kicks off on Monday, August 24, with daily lunchtime activities and events sponsored by the Associated Student Body (ASB), DEI Council, Green Team, Spiritual Life Council (SLC), and our Class Councils. 

Friday, August 28 is our Welcome Rally! Students are invited to deck themselves out in their class colors, with dress code-appropriate shirts, pants, and accessories. This is a great time for the Class of 2030 to show off their purple shirts! Class Councils will be sponsoring spirit booths during lunch.

Senior Shirts and Sweatshirts

If your senior did not purchase a shirt or sweatshirt, they will be available on the online School Store, hopefully by the end of this week. Shirts and Sweatshirts will be first come, first served; there will not be a restock afterwards.
