Join us for " Framing Our Equity Lenses Together " on August 17, 2021 from 3 to 5 p.m. You'll be able to participate in a virtual workshop that is interactive and transdisciplinary. During it, you and others will explore what equity could look like for Kansas City, Missouri's built environment. We'll also:

  • Identify what equity means for planning, design, and development in Kansas City.
  • Explore how communities define and measure equity.
  • Outline a definition for equity in Kansas City, Missouri.
  • Pinpoint needed equity elements in Kansas City's built environment.

Background
The Kansas City Metro has been discussing equity for a long time and the Kansas City Chapter of the American Planning Association, in coordination with the Kansas City Planning and Development Department, would like to provide a venue for continuing the local conversation. Planners, architects, engineers, landscape architects, development and construction industry professionals, business and economic development representatives, health and environment workers, neighborhood leaders, elected/appointed officials, students, educators, creatives, advocates, non-profits, and more are invited to join the discussion and share their ideas.
