Deadline is end of day on Thursdays before emailing on the following Monday.

IMPORTANT AUG/SEP DEADLINES - I will be on vacation from August 26 through September 8 and will be going largely disconnected during that time. I know that this is a time with a LOT of things that will be coming for sharing with the Presbytery. I will be prescheduling Currents for August 31 and September 7 and there will not be issues of Still Waters during that time.

Please send me things you would like for those two issues of Currents by Monday, August 24. I will create those issues before I leave. Thank you!

Introducing You to Michael

Michael is 13, and is excited to finally get a mentor. We’re excited he’s now more likely to graduate from high school. Plus, imagine all mentoring will do for Michael. We have an immediate need for men and women to become adult mentors. You are almost guaranteed to shift the odds for a teen at Third Presbyterian Church and East Westwood neighborhood. When you say yes, a teen like Michael can say, YES!

If you have ever thought about mentoring a young person, please prayerfully consider joining this ministry.

How God is Moving Through IJM's Work Around the World

This gathering is for anyone who desires to grow deeper in their understanding of God's heart for justice and God's invitation to participate in God's redemptive work in the world. Through stories from the field, Scripture, and personal reflections, we will explore how God is using people to protect the vulnerable, restore dignity, and bring hope to communities affected by violence and exploitation.

You will hear from Ryan Zhang, Carolyn Heck, and Leo Acton as they share how God is moving through the work of IJM, local governments, and through believers who are responding to God's call. We will also spend time in prayer, seeking God's wisdom, compassion, and guidance as we consider what faithful discipleship looks like in our world today.
