Ancient Persia was at the axis of the trading world, simultaneously influencing and influenced by both Asia to the east and Europe to the west. Explore the unique art traditions of this fascinating and dynamic region as exemplified by objects from the Asian Art Museum.

K-Pop Dance Workshop

Learn how to do the dance for Iconic by Mistake by Le Sserafim, Illit and Katseye at the library! One of our staff members, a former member of a K-Pop dance crew, will break down the moves for participants of all levels.

This program is intended for teens and adults. Wear comfortable clothes and bring water!

Kids Graphic Novel Club

The Kids Graphic Novel Club is a group for kids ages 9-12 who love reading and talking about graphic novels! This month’s pick is A Kid Like Me by Norm Feuti. 

How to Participate:

1. Visit the 2nd Floor Youth Library service desk to register in person and pick up your copy (while supplies last).
2. Read the graphic novel ahead of time and come ready to discuss! We’ll also have a themed activity and snacks.

The Kids Graphic Novel Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month. This program is for kids ages 9 to 12.

We are excited to announce a free online tutoring service for California K-12 students available: HomeworkCA. In addition to live one-to-one tutoring for 250+ subjects in multiple languages, you can access practice quizzes, video lessons, college admission tools, and more via Tutor.com

HomeworkCA can be accessed from our Online Library page under "Homework Help" at home 24/7 or in the library.

This project is supported in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.

Help K-12 students with their homework at our Main Library after school! We are seeking volunteers who can assist K-12 students with school subjects such as Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and more.

Schedule is flexible! Volunteer any time between Monday-Thursdays from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM during each Fall (August-December) and Spring (January-May) school semester. Homework Hub will start on Monday, August 31st for the Fall semester.
