AUGUST 2022

AT EASTERSEALS, WE BELIEVE IN EMPLOYMENT FOR ALL!

Success Story: Brian Canton

Brian was referred to our Easterseals from BRS (Bureau of Rehabilitation Services) for a TWE (Trial Work Experience) where we set up an opportunity for an individual to try out a job. During the trial, we assist in building on their individual strengths as well as developing strategies and supports to address any potential barriers to employment.

Brian did an excellent job on his initial TWE with the goal of procuring employment. To read more of Brian's story, click the button below:

On Friday this goal was achieved, and lucky winners were picked to toss the pie!!!

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT

Joe LaValla "Weekend Warrior!"

Recently, our Easterseals received funding from Comcast MyAbilities to update our Windsor kitchen for patients.  What you may not know is that one of our amazing board members, Joe LaValla, volunteered his time to purchase all the materials for the renovation—and he volunteered many, many hours of labor to demolish and install! Thank you, Joe, for your tireless efforts.
