Dear Willowcreek Community Members,
As the holiday season approaches, our school is reaching out with a heartfelt request. This year, we have 47 children in need of Christmas gifts, and with your help, we can make sure every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated.
We are hosting a Giving Tree/Sub for Santa at our school. Community members are invited to stop by and choose a Christmas tree ornament from the tree. Each ornament represents one child and includes a short list of gift needs and requested items (such as clothing sizes, books, small toys, or other basics).
If you’re able to participate:
1. Visit the school Willowcreek and take an ornament from the Giving Tree. Sign your name on the list by the tree along with the number on the ornament.
2. Purchase the listed items for that child.
3. Return the unwrapped gifts to the school by the date December 15th. Please have the ornament number on the gift when returning it, so we can make sure it reaches the correct child.
Even sponsoring one ornament makes a meaningful difference. Your kindness helps ensure that every child in our school community can experience the joy and comfort that the holidays should bring.
Thank you for supporting our students and families. If you have any questions or would like additional details, please contact Melissa Roe (801-610-8767) in the counseling office. Melissaroe@alpinedistrict.org.
We cannot take perishables at this time, but if you would like to donate perishables you can to Tabitha’s Way Food Bank here locally.
Thank you for supporting our students as they serve our community. Every can, box, and packet helps us build complete meals with dignity for families who need them.
**Update**
As we continue our Food Drive until December 19th, We would like to give you all an update! As of today we have collected almost 1,400 items given to us and over $530 dollars donated, of which we used to create 85 completed meal bags to donate to our local food bank, along with countless snacks. That’s over 340 people fed this holiday! We will continue to collect and build these shelf stable meal kits for families until December 19th. Here are some items that we still need for our food drive if you are looking to help feed local families before Christmas. Thank you for all that you do and for helping to fight hunger in our communities.
