A message from SORH:

The State Offices of Rural Health grant program is celebrating a 25th anniversary this year along with many SORHs.  NOSORH wants to celebrate this milestone by promoting the great accomplishments SORHs have achieved in the communities they serve.

To observe the anniversary, NOSORH has created an  anniversary video  and  logo for SORHs
to use.  In addition, NOSORH will customize the video and logo for states interested in adding state specific photos and messaging from rural health leaders in your state.
Click here   to view South Carolina's customized 25th Anniversary Video.

Customized videos for any state are available for a fee of $1000, which includes one minute of additional state-specific logos, photos, and/or audio. Click this link to order your customized video. Anniversary pins are also available to order.

For more information on ordering the video, contact Kassie Clarke.
To make arrangements for payment, contact  Donna Pfaendtner.

What's New at OHE

The photos above are from NACCHO Annual 2016 which was held in Phoenix, AZ. The conference allows local health department staff, partners, funders, and individuals an opportunity to exchange the latest research and ideas, network, and test assumptions about local public health issues and topics.

"This year's thought-provoking sessions were organized around the following ways local health departments are addressing the underlying causes of health inequity and disparity:

1. Assess and Investigate
2. Build Relationships and Alliances
3. Shift Public Awareness and Consciousness 4. Transform Locals from Within

The tracks are aligned with the work currently underway in local public health departments across the country around assessment, collaboration, communication, and management."
