I am happy to report that the Executive Board of Directors held a strategic planning session in July to outline the program of work and vision for the California Contract Cities Association for the coming year and beyond. The Executive Board has ambitious goals for the organization, and I look forward to executing those in partnership with the CCCA staff and my fellow members.
During the strategic planning session, the Executive Board established a Marketing and Communications Committee. This committee will be charged with establishing the organization's brand, finding proactive ways to tell our story and expanding our reach and influence. This committee is chaired by Mark Waroneck of Lomita, and I am excited to see the results of its work.
I look forward to seeing you all on August 19th at the Los Angeles Arboretum at our Annual Board of Directors Meeting hosted by the Sheriff's Department. If you have not signed up yet, don't miss this event! The Sheriff's Department always shows us a great time.
I would like to thank you all again for the opportunity to serve as your President and I look forward to the great work we will accomplish together over the coming year.
