News Update about Your USEF
There has been several organizational changes in the USEF that you might be interested in hearing about.
Actions of the Reorganized Board:
1. Elected a new USEF President, Murray Kessler, who will take office in January 2017.
2. Chose Bill Moroney to fill the position of CEO and oversee the day-to-day operations of the USEF. He had been serving as Interim CEO since the USEF Annual Meeting last January.
3. Chose a Steering Committee that presented a a comprehensive Strategic Plan that was unanimously approved in a special three-hour session with the Board and the Gladstone staff.
4. The new Vision for the USEF announced:
To bring the joy of horse sports to as many people as possible
estructuring of the Federation continues (to be more streamlined and efficient)
6. Dr Lola Chambless,
neurosurgeon from Vanderbuilt University, presented a highly informative power-point lecture on Traumatic Brain Injuries. She agreed to serve as a consultant to the USEF in this matter
USEF represents our interests in the US Congress as well as internationally in FEI
(Federation Equestrian International)
whose rules regulate competitions like the Rio Olympics coming up this August 5th - 21st.
