August News from Paige's Butterfly Run
Greetings from all of us at Paige's Butterfly Run, Inc! We hope you are having a great summer!

While our 2018 Run/Walk has passed, we are busy getting ready for our Fall events, including our 3rd annual Clams 4 Cures Clambake presented by Barclay Damon on Saturday, September 15th at the Spinning Wheel in North Syracuse! Join us for clams, BBQ, music, raffles and the wheelbarrow of cheer! Tickets are $50 a person and packages of 10 tickets are $450 with event proceeds supporting our mission in the community.

In addition to our Clams 4 Cures Clambake, we are getting ready for Pajamarama Day on September 28th and our Childhood Cancer Awareness Month campaign in September. Local landmarks such as the National Grid Building and the Barclay Damon tower in Downtown Syracuse will be lit in gold as part of our efforts to raise awareness for the fight against childhood cancers in our community.

Pajamarama Day 2018
Wear Your PJ’s to Work and School

Each year in the U.S. there are an estimated 15,780 children between the ages of birth and 19 years of age who are diagnosed with cancer. Of those children diagnosed, 60 of them are here in Central New York.

Support the kids with cancer at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital by hosting a Pajamarama Day at your school!

How To Host Your Pajamarama Event!

  • Pajamarama Day can take place on any day .
  • We suggest a donation of $1 per student for the honor of wearing PJ’s to school. If $1 per student is too much in your community, decide what would be appropriate . . . 50¢, 25¢? (Let Paige’s Pajamarama know what your students are asked to contribute.)
  • Encourage teachers and staff to get involved wear their PJ’s too (Perhaps they would contribute at the $5 level).
  • Download our posters or make your own to encourage participation and remind students and staff to wear their PJ’s on Paige’s Pajamarama Day.
  • Connect with Mary Kate Intaglietta, Executive Director for Paige’s Butterfly Run, Inc. to schedule a time to visit your school and talk with students about how their Pajamarama Day is helping kids fighting cancer at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital.
  • Take a picture of your Pajamaramers and send with your donation! We’ll post them on our social media sites.
